LAMPS IN THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD
Lamps of God In darkness.
Lamps of God still gleam.
Their beams are bright, their penetration keen,
To people’s lives they'll bring deeper meaning
It would be foolish to ignore the blacker face of this world of ours.
There’s moral slide, and drugs, more drinking - a cheapening of life’s richer woven side.
We can’t escape the fact it’s with us
It’s wrong to think that from the truth we need to hide.
We must polish up our God lamps,
Shine for Christ and really do our job.
No cloudy glass –
No tatty wicks – No lack of oil to burn
We must beam ‘Hope and Faith' into the night
Keenly through the gloom of lost lives ...........
We must shine also ‘Peace” “Encouragement” and fullness of Christ LIFE.
’ ‘Help us Father to really be a Light for Christ’
a-men.
